SEEDS

We are so fortunate to be part of a large group of families who've recently adopted children from Korea. We've all met or became connected through our adoption journeys and are enjoying watching our children grow up together and sharing our experiences with one another. The group is named SEEDS (Seouls Engaged in Everything for our Daugthers and Sons). Many of our children are the same age and have birthdays this spring/early summer, so we decided to have a birthday party for all of them to celebrate. We were fortunate to have 17 families attend the gathering...a new record! It was so much fun to see all the little ones run around, communicate and interact with one another. A great time was had by all!

We were particulary excited because we finally got to meet Margaret and Tae! As many of you know from earlier posts, Tae and Claire had the same foster family while they were in Korea. Tae went to live with them about a week after we left Korea to bring Claire home. Tae came home in December and we were connected to each other with the help of the foster family and our agency. The odds of this happening still blow my mind...how lucky are we?? Anyway, Margaret and I have spoken on the phone, exchanged e-mails and follow each other's blogs, but haven't had the opportunity to meet until last Saturday (They live in Duluth, MN, which is about 3 hours north of the Twin Cities). We were so excited to finally meet them and hope to meet Hansi (Tae's Papa) soon!
